HACC Drops Hard-Fought Battle to Brookdale in Five
Harrisburg, PA – The Hawks Women's Volleyball team showed grit and flashes of brilliance in a five-set battle on the road, but ultimately came up short against Brookdale Community College in a thrilling match that went the distance. Despite taking two of the first three sets, Harrisburg Area Community College fell to the Jersey Blues, 3–2.

HACC came out strong, taking the first set 25–18 behind steady offensive pressure and a disruptive defensive presence. After narrowly dropping a hard-fought second set 26–24, the Hawks bounced back to win Set 3, 25–20, and looked poised to close out the match. But Brookdale responded with a dominant fourth set, then carried that momentum into the fifth, outlasting HACC 15–9 in the decider.
Sophomore Peyton Maass once again led the Hawks' offense with a standout performance, recording 14 kills, 13 digs, and 1 solo block, finishing with a team-high 16 points and a strong .303 hitting percentage. Brooklyn Camara added 11 kills and 2 service aces, while Alexis Snelbaker and Kelly Bastian chipped in with 5 kills apiece.
Setter Jillian Fulkroad directed the offense with 32 assists and added 1 ace, while also contributing 7 digs. On defense, Caylei Fasnacht and Aliza Sellars anchored the back row with 15 and 13 digs respectively.
As a team, the Hawks totaled 38 kills, 57 digs, and 8 service aces in the match, showing resilience despite facing a well-rounded Brookdale squad. The fifth set proved challenging, with HACC hitting -.176, while Brookdale surged with a .400 attack percentage to close the match.
