Hawks Women’s Volleyball Celebrate Sophomore Day, Comes Up Short Against Northampton
Harrisburg, PA – The HACC Hawks women's volleyball team fell to Northampton Community College 3-1 at their last home game of the regular season. The Hawks are now 16-1 overall and 9-1 in conference. Northampton is 16-1 overall and 9-1 in conference.
The HACC Hawks celebrated the dedication and achievements of the four sophomores before the start of the match. Taylor Beeler, Kendall Wales, Kyla Kolivoski and Sydnee Wishard were all recognized and thanked for their hard work and contributions to the volleyball program.
Match 1: HACC 1, Northampton CC 3 - Final
The match was a crucial conference matchup for both teams as they battled on the court. Northampton narrowly took the first set 25-23. However, the Hawks turned it around in the second set firing back with a victory 25-8. Northampton made a comeback in the next two sets as the team captured the lead early from the Hawks. HACC was unable to find momentum and ultimately fell to the Spartans; 25-20, 25-23, for its first loss in conference play this season.
Mackenzie Maass led the squad with 25 kills and two block solo, while Tennison McGraw added 16 kills and two service aces. Kaitlin Pluta recorded four service aces for the Hawks offense. Kyla Kolivoski fed her team all night, tallying 62 assists
