HACC Hawks Rally Past Trailblazers with Dominant Second Half , 76-60
Harrisburg, PA — The HACC Hawks flipped the script Tuesday night at Luzerne County Community College, storming back from a halftime deficit to secure a commanding 76-60 victory at Trailblazer Gym.
After trailing 35-33 at the break, HACC erupted for a 43-point second half, clamping down defensively and overwhelming Luzerne down the stretch to seal the road win.
First Half: Trailblazers Set the Tone
Luzerne came out energized on its home floor, using strong interior play and active hands on defense to take a slim two-point lead into halftime.
A'Maree Ellis paced the Trailblazers early, finishing with 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Jacob Patterson added 11 points and seven boards. Luzerne's shot-blocking presence — led by Jaidyn Johnson's seven blocks — made life difficult in the paint during the opening 20 minutes.
Despite the early push, HACC stayed within striking distance thanks to the hot hand of freshman guard Jaiden Wiley. Wiley delivered a performance to remember, pouring in 29 points on 10-of-20 shooting while going a perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line. He added 10 rebounds for a dominant double-double, igniting the Hawks when they needed it most.
As the second half opened, Wiley attacked relentlessly — knocking down mid-range jumpers, finishing through contact, and controlling the glass.
Second Half Surge
HACC's defense tightened dramatically after the break, holding Luzerne to just 25 second-half points. The Hawks forced 17 Luzerne turnovers overall and turned defensive stops into transition opportunities.
John McNeil battled inside for 13 points and a game-high 11 rebounds, while William Bryd added 10 points and four offensive boards.
Off the bench, Kaden Folk provided a huge spark with 11 points, five rebounds, and three steals — swinging momentum midway through the second half with hustle plays that energized the Hawks.
Eli Vega chipped in nine points and three steals, helping fuel HACC's defensive intensity.
